just to say hi
well havent posted for a long time. was not sure if i was going to finish my truck. was in to much pain. my shoulder has tamed down and i think i will go at it again. going to move real slow. so it may never get done but im not going to give up with out a fight. will probibly take me two weeks to dig it out from under the pile of tools. nothing has been put away for a long time throw and go.

What? Have you been storing it in my garage? It sure sounds like my garage. I refer to it as "standing room only."
Great to hear that you're up to getting back in the fight. My twelve-year-old son and I are doing a functional restoration of a '55 F500.
As I tell him: "Anything worth having is worth fighting for." and "Nothing on these old trucks comes easy or comes cheap.. Nothing."
We're missing out on relaxation time to get "Albatross" inspected. Then we can legally drive it to our garage and disassemble it for restoration.

enjoy the time as it goes fast. kids and i rebuilt quite a few engines and suspensions. now they dont have time for this stuff. the first thing i did was get a old car and let them tear it all apart the wife even got involved. cut the body into one foot pieces. then some one stole all the scrap we were not to happy about that.

Hey Rod,
Welcome back - I coax my son back under our F1 all the time - keeps them out of trouble! Keep after it - let your kids do some of the heavy lifting - they may like it more than you think. Post some of the pics as you uncover it from all that stuff - Let's see what you are working on.
