My trucks restoration is now basically complete. I got door weather striping from a vendor that is supposed to be "stock reproduction" and work. It was the solid type and would not let the doors close properly. After not working I had to pain stakingly remove it and the adhesive and now I need to order the "good stuff". I hear the good stuff is a hollow core, who sells this?
I don't think anyone does for the 48-52, they do make it for mid-fifties. I got mine from Dennis Carpenter, it made it hard to shut for about a year, but it relaxes / conforms well after that. Someone may have adjusted your door for old tired w'stripping, it may need to be adjusted back.
Don't remember where I got mine, but it was made by Dennis Carpenter, solid core. Had to adjust the door latches to get it to shut, then as it relaxed, kept adjusting the latches further in. Took quite awhile.

I used the front part from the set I got from DC and picked up some hollow core stick on in at a place in NC. Worked perfect from day one. I did not attempt to use the rest of the gasket from DC. When I get back to the shop I can take a picture and let you know where the place is to get what I got if you would like.
I bought mine from hotrodsclassic truckparts.Worked out real good.Peel the paper off and install. No sticky black adhesive to try to clean up.It is hollow core and the doors like.

Is it universal or made specifically for the BonusBuilts?

I would like to know where you got your seals in NC. They make soft seal in Rocky Mount NC but I doubt you went that far to get it.
