I'm going to be ordering a new chrome grill for my 2005. My original has some of the chrome gone from acid rain runoff . I was wondering if I should pay the premium for a OEM ford unit from Tousley, or are aftermarket grills as good or worse? I have no experience with aftermarket part.
If anyone has experience or information, please let me know.
i had an aftermsarket on my old 06 250. only had it about a year after the grill was put on but i couldnt tell difference from stock. think the body guy got it from keystone?
I think the previous owner put on an aftermarket gill on mine and it sucks. Nothing shows up on carfax, but the top of the grill is all wavy by the hood. One of these days I'll take it apart and figure out if I can do anything. My body shop guy tells me OEM is usually nicer, though it may not always be worth the price difference. If you're keeping it until the wheels fall off you might as well get OEM. Then again, I always find it easy to spend other peoples money!
