i found a guy who has a 1999 f350 with a 6.5" lift kit with pro-comp 6 way adjustable shocks and Micky Thomson classic II wheels, and 40/13.50r20 Dick Cepek tires with about 70=% tread...he wants to trade his lift kit suspension and wheel tire set for my 4" BDS lift kit and stock wheel and tire setup. my ? is i believe that on the X it would be an 8.5" lift and would the tires clear on the x? he states he has 0 rub on his set up however he needs to tow stuff alot and the lift makes it difficult. and would it be a direct fit swap as im thinking?
So, up front, I don't know the Pro Comp kit at all, but...
I am very familiar with Icon and run the Icon five inch all spring lift which allows me to run 35 inch tires with no problem at all. I could probably run taller if I needed, and I don't. Their seven inch kit can be used with thirty seven inch tires. Now jumping into their truck kits, remember Excursions start shorter, the ten and one half inch kit is designed for forty inch tires.
So will this Pro Comp kit allow you to run forties? Maybe not. But if you do the swap please let all of us know. Go Idaho.
