Hey Guys, having some problems with my 2005 Navigator. When you come to idle it'll generally sit at about 750 RPM, but it will have surges down to 300-500 and has shut off completely twice on me. No codes thrown, starts right back up. It also seems to have surges where it feels like it's giving itself gas when you are driving slowly.
I've been trying to diagnose if it's AC related, but don't think it is. Was thinking maybe alternator but it's got a new alternator in it. I know if the crank sensor goes bad it doesn't throw a code, would these problems make sense for that?
Could it be a dirty MAF? Maybe Throttle body? Not very familiar with Ford Engines.
I was thinking it could be the IAC, but all the ford parts websites don't list an IAC for this car??
