heat problem
Ok I have a 97 expedition 4x4 with 150,000 miles on it. I tried to turn the defrost on and I get a a loud squeaking sound It sounds like the ac compresser my question is why would the ac compressor come on when it is on defrost?

yes the noise happens when i select ac too. I seems to happen on every selection except the panel selection. also when i select all other selections besides panel the car bogs down it actually cut off once.
