What size u-bolts for rear axle - 2WD
I need to replace one of the u-bolts holding on the leaf springs on the rear axle of my 2000 Excursion with 2WD. When I search online, I see sizes of 2 7/8 up to 3 1/2 inches for the u-bolt (diameter of the axle tube). Anyone know which is the proper axle tube diameter? I don't want to get too big (or too small obviously).
