Can you help me out here? I've got an 1987 F800 (gas 429) and I need to find a good parts source. In particular, what I need right now is Fuel Pump, Gauge and (depending on how sucessful I am at cleaning rust out of tank) a fuel tank. This truck has the dual fuel tanks (step style) right under drivers and passenger doors.
If you have a list of good parts source that would be very helpful.
Also, if you have any tips on how to clean out the rust from the tank that would be good too.
Do you have the electric pumps in the tanks?I'm going through the same thing on a 1989 F-600 with a 370 engine.I got a new pump on Evil Bay.205 dollars.NAPA wanted like 350 for the same pump.Just do a search for F-600 fuel pump. You'll find lots of them.Good luck with your project.
