Blower motor only works on 3&4

1997 Expedition. Blower only works on speeds 3 and 4. Works out of all vents and every other function works. I suspect the blower motor resistor? Does that sound right? If so, where is it located?

Sounds like the resistor to me. Somewhere on heater box under passenger dash.

My 99 Expedition had heater motor problems, I found the connector that plugs into the resistor pack was melted. I ended up seperating the wires and adding connectors so it could be plugged in individually to each connection on the resistor pack. A pain in the neck as it is tough to see down there, but it works.

my rear blower is acting up....when you put it on "1", it blows hard like 3 or 4.
when you go over to "2" and up, its back to normal
any suggestions? sound like a resistor prob?
