2000 3.0 oil pressure sending unit location
Also how is the oil pump driven without a distributor. Got a friend who said his oil pressure dropped to nothing, although I question this since he claims he drove it another 5 miles and it was still running fine when he turned it off.
Is there any common problems maybe I should know

if the cam sensor gear failed wouldn't the engine quit running, he say's it was running just fine when he shut it off.
If this is the problem how does a person go about fixing it. I haven't even looked at the truck yet just trying to get some ideas before I do.
