Does not suprise me one bit. Whether it be for scrap aluminum or as-is, they are worth money...

While not fool proof, a set of wheel locks are a good investment as a deterrent in hopes that they would not want to deal with them and move along. Ford P/N: 3C3Z-1A043-AA

WOW! Man that would take a long time and a big truck to haul them away, did the dealer have a camera on the lot?

That just makes me sick. What is wrong with people? It would have been helpful to have surveillance cameras. I know personally how valuable video of perps is.

Sell 'em on Craig's List. Crimes like that are happening more & more. I'm always amazed when I hear the latest copper/bronze theft, stealing parts to sprinkling systems, breaking into buildings and stripping out the wiring..., it seems endless.
As I've mentioned before, when I moved outta the old neighborhood, a criteria was the new place must have sufficient garage space for my toys, I was tired of a'holes stealing stuff like the step rails off my PU, breaking into it, etc. I went so far as to weld the bolts holding the bumpers and step rails on the Dodge PU to try to prevent any more losses.
I wish the Castle Doctrine would extend to the limits of property, not just inside the home in this state.

I installed surveillence cameras and dvr 8 years ago outside my shop and building and so far have caught a few perps including arson on an adjoining property. They will steal anything including wooden pallets!

Other than damaging the rotors, would there be anything else damaged under the truck without skid plates, such as the plastic DFCM?
I guess there's a few other things that hang down a bit lower.

Sad indeed. Seems like wheel locks should be standard on the upgraded wheels. Having said that, a theft of this size would probably still happen as the thieves would have keys...

I would have loved to see how they pulled that operation off! Seriously, I would think you would need a moving truck to get all those wheels and tires out of there. That kind of energy would be better served in a legal job in the community.

Bloody hell! I have never seen anything like that. But let's be honest, selling that many wheels and tires discretely is going to be a challenge.

I think that the wheels would fit pretty easily in an enclosed car hauler trailer or one of the larger sized (20 ft.) utility trailers.
Pull the trailer into the lot, have a generator and air compressor, pneumatic jack and impact wrench, could be in and out pretty quickly.

That's disheartening to read about... The lengths some people will go for a buck (or 600) these days

Looks like a set of wheel locks are in my future. My truck is garaged at nights, but I would hate to come out of a shopping center or someplace like that and find my truck sitting on blocks!
