Thinking of trade ring in my 2007 6.0 for 2012 6.7. Are the 6.7 that good and are the 6.0 that bad(no problems with mine). Dealer wants to give me $28000.00 for my 07 f350 drw king ranch with 59789 miles and $55,000 for his loaded king ranch(msrp 67,345). Good deal? Will my 6.0 have problems down the line? Is the new trucks that good and worth the jump? Thanks, Ted
Go for it, and don't ever look back....I traded my 2005 6.0, for a 2011 6.7.....major upgrade all around, not just the motor..
Those sound like fair prices in my book. But I have no clue what sticker is on what your looking for, or what your 2007 books for.
Have you had the heads done on your 2007? If not, I'd definately pull the trigger, I don't know of many 6.0 owners who haven't had the heads done. Mine launched at 55000 miles, boy was I happy, as I had left than a year left on the diesel warranty.
Well I did....it's not just a small incremental step up in trucks.....it's a huge step up. I have no fatigue in my shoulders when pulling the 5ver in wind, and always enough power......Not to mention I'm consistently seeing a 1-3 mpg increase while towing on the same roads and conditions....
If you meet me on the road while I'm pulling the 5ver, I'm the guy grinning ear to ear!!
Go for it! I traded my 07 (crew/lariat/4x4/loaded) in with just under 50,000 miles on it. Dealer gave me $31,500 for it, and I had x-plan for the one I ordered. I have almost 20,000 problem free miles on my 2011, and it has so many more nice features than my old one. Better mileage than the 6.0 too, been averaging 17-18 mpg with mostly highway driving.
I agree with the rest of the guys...go for it! To date the 6.7L has had far fewer problems than the 6.0L did upon its introduction. You gain 75 HP, one more gear in the transmission, a much more refined ride, better fuel economy, and greater reliability! What's not to love?

Can't say much more. I agree.
For the pickup models.

Agreed. I traded my '05 6.0 F-250 on my '11 and it was a great decision. Although, I will say that I only had two minor issues with my '05 and neither of them were related to the heads or gaskets. Otherwise the '05 was an outstanding truck.
The difference between the two trucks is pretty significant though. Kind of like going from an Edsel to a Bentley.

The new Super Duty and the 6.7 are that good! Take it for a test drive and you'll cut the check when you get back to the dealer, no doubt about it. You'll actually be able to hear yourself think when the 6.7 is running and the power is outstanding.
Do it; though the cheapest car (or truck) is usually the one you have, these 2012s are amazing.
Admittedly I only have 600 miles on mine, but the reduced NVH compared to my 2008 is really impressive (and I liked the 2008 a lot, which had 30,000 miles when traded).
Just back from 450 miles to/from Maine lightly loaded -averaged 21 mpg. Mixed roads; 80% highway/20% Route 1 (2 lane), no stop and go, and I wasn't towing.
Mine is a Lariat and rides like a limo (for a truck).
Needed to pass on an uphill and the truck pulled like it had 800 ft/lbs. Fun!
I am really pleased. Can't wait to see the towing MPG and if the truck holds up.
BTW, I would say the prices you are quoting are reasonable. I went to the dealer with the fair price and fair trade numbers and they met them. I perhaps could have found a few hundred $ off that but was happy with the result.

No Way.....Feels more like 175 HORSE at the ground to me....!!!!! First time I took a 6.7 for a ride I was sold....just took me 5 weeks to convinve myself that I wanted to stay with the diesel....Not........Just took 5 weeks to find the right truck is all.
Really the 6.0 was 325 horse? I thought right on top of the motor it said 265 ...or was it 295?
