hey guys and gals...
ok I'm once again gonna show my ignorance, but this is the way to learn right? I am looking now for a home for my 300. I drove by a Ranger for sale the other day, I couldn't stop at that time so I don't know anything about it except it is an early 80's 2wd Any thoughts if the 300 will go in it?

In the early 80's the "Ranger" was just a trip package - it was not a smaller truck as it was in later years. The 300 should fit. Just like any other F-series of that era, if it did not come with a 300, you are going to need to find some 300 motor mount perches to bolt to the frame.
