1989 F250 460 timing issue

I did a cam swap several months ago after the teeth on the cam got chewed off. I swapped out the distributor, coil, ignition module, tps, cap and rotor. The problem I am running into right now is when I put the timing spout back in after time. The truck starts acting up from hesitating, misfiring and lack of power. I remove the spout and it run just fine. I have retard and advance the timing several times trying to find the area I need to be in with no luck. Does anybody might have a clue what might be going on that I am not seeing?

The cam I put in is a RV cam that is designed for a fuel injection setup.

Found my issue. Kinda baffled me the reason why. The distributor for some reason almost locked up. TO be the point of damn near breaking teeth again. I swapped it out with another new one and I was able to time it with the advance connected. Now the question is, why would the distributor be locking up? This is the 3rd distributor that did that to me this year.
