2000 EX Electrical Problem
First let me say that when I hook my 2004 travel trailer camper up to my 94 full size Bronco everything works perfect so the trailer seems not the problem.
The good: When I hook up the 7 pin trailer connector to the Ex. I get 13-14 volts at the junction box under the trailer A frame on the wire providing 12 volt feed to the trailer from the EX.
The bad: However when I turn the EX lights on this drops to 6.4 volts and the camper lights are noticeably dim - EX lights seem normal. Also when I apply the brakes the 12 volt feed wire drops to 2 to 3 volts and the blue brake wire is also only 2 to 3 volts.
Lights don't work properly either. Applying brakes kills off trailer lights and blinkers make running lights on camper blink. On the other hand if I hook up the camper battery as well then all lights work properly and have good voltage.
I checked all fuses and could find no missing or blown both under the dash and under the hood.
Light problem occurs with brake controller disconnected as well.
Anybody know what is going on?
