This morning I installed Bilstein shocks on my stock (not lifted) 2011 Job 2 F350 (see sig). Straight forward job. Just as with my 2005 F250, they really improved the ride. The part numbers for a 4WD SRW F350 are:
My dads taking his factory Rancho's off his 2005 FX4 and replacing them with the Rancho rs9000xl shocks, I'm putting his old Rancho's on my 2000 F250 to replace the old factory ones that are 195,000 miles old. Hope it helps the ride!
195K miles on stock shocks! I think that you might just have set a new record.
Many of us here ended up replacing the stock shocks with any of the decent aftermarket units. Most folk end up with Bilsteins. I installed Monroes and the have worked fine so far.
Some of the problems reported with harsh ride, tire wear and wobble are very likely shock absorber related.
