Newer model Head Unit in '00
I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on it. I have the head unit with the cassette player and the six disc changer in the storage area between the two seats.
The question is are there any newer HUs that will fit the 2000 model year with out much mods wise.
Im looking for one with aux input if possible,and 6disc in the HU would be nice.
I was thinking of cheaper options than buying a new HU

If you are going to go different than factory, I would suggest getting a double din unit. The single din units do not look good in my opinion since the radio is so large. It does take a little modding with cutting the plastic behind the cover but is well worth it at the end. If I ever switch radios that is the only way I will do it.

Not a straight swap. Here's what the head unit looks like that came out of my 99...
The face plate is double din, but the body isn't. I installed a true double din HU and followed this how-to...

The head unit out of a 2003 up Expy will be true double din just like the Kenwood. I highly recommend going with aftermarket if you are going to go thru the trouble of cutting the dash.
Side note, alloro, i read that you sold your Expy. What did you get?
