86' Bronco II 2.9 trans into 92' ranger 3.0?

86' Bronco II 2.9 trans into 92' ranger 3.0?
Would an 86' Bronco II 2.9's tranny bolt up into a 92' Ranger 3.0?
Would I have to take the tail shaft of the Ranger's and onto the Bronco's?
I am an extremely novice mechanic, and haven't been able to get a straight answer from anyone so i was hoping you guys could help.
I am strapped for cash, and this bronco tranny was offered up for barter, but it is out of town and i have no way of having a look.
Any help would be appreciated.
