I have an Eaton Roadranger RTX 9 speed with a #1 bell that I want to bolt up to a pickup/car FI 460 motor.
Did ford ever make an sae bell adapter of the FI 460 pick/car motor.
Was the 370 gasser motor ever have an sae #1 adapter?
Did the 370 gasser ever offer a big truck xmission?
Was the 370 gasser bell area the same as the FI 460?
Is a 370 gasser worth the effort to repair and use?
Anyone have in useful life information on the 370 gasser?

--If Ford ever made an adapter, they kept it a secret and no one is selling them on line. "Surplus man" gives us a good picture of a 0 to 1 adapter:
--370 with a "big truck" trans--no, 370s are found in mediums and the transmissions would be NPs and Clarks I'd reckon.
--370 bell same as 460? Yes.
--370 worth fixing? Depends. If you have a 370 equipped truck, and it needs a rebuild, and you don't want to fool with any other conversion, then rebuild it or swap for a reman'd 370.
--370 info--a low power, long life medium duty truck engine.
If that trans is in good condition, it's worth a lot more than a 370.....
