Lariats and above are the only trim levels that they even offer nav with in 2011, and most of the time when you see these trucks on the lot with nav they are the Lariat Ultimate package - it includes a moon roof and other options. My order would be without the moon roof or chrome package. It is nearly impossible to find one like that in the configuration I am looking for (F350 ccsb). Hence the reason I wanted to order.
If I hold out for 2012 I won't be able to negotiate a deal because its the brand new model year and I would be hitting it at the start. Its all a game and apparently I've drawn the short straw.

I want the exact same config. Everything, less moon roof. The nav is great for the rear camera view.I will wait for the 12 and probably until October. Hopefully will start to get some deals then, will see. Thinking fuel prices will drive them to be more aggressive with new model. That, plus they have not built up dealer inventories as in the past due to the economy. My observation only.

Coudnt decide on nav. The camera is the main reason i want it.I was waiting to seeif the trany problem was fixed. Hopefuly it is.Woud love a new truck for fair season, hope the 6.0 holds up
All I can say is that if you want the NAV, then find a way to get it. I don't know how I lived without it now that I have it. It's a really nice thing so don't compromise.
Having said that, you think you could just live with having the moon roof? I have it, did not really want it, and it's really not a big deal, I use it sometimes and if you slide the interior cover back the extra daylight is kinda nice at times.
The "big problems" being thrown around with the CEL's and the transmission stuff are being blown out of proportion in my opinion. Many of us are well into the 40K range in our trucks and they are just great. My 2-3 tranny shift that sometimes misses only happens when I am unloaded and driving really slow. I think all the tranny needs is a little more tweaking of the line pressure or whatever it is.....

No moon roof for me. I prefer a solid sheet of metal up on top (or down below, if this ever happens again). One of these accidents is enough, but I can't predict that it never will happen.

99.5% of the time im empty and my F 350 is my grocery getter. Several times a year I carry 60 bales of hay about 30 miles one way and a few times a year I carry sand for box stalls , run in sheds etc. Then there is the general truck stuff tha a 150 could handle. Running empty is my norm.
Now what I think Ford should do, maybe they will see this. Ford should have 2 computer programs , one to be a daily driver and one in tow haul mode to make big power. I believe similar things have been done on the performance/ limited edition aria. Get rid of this adaptive learning and give us the choice at the push of a button. IMHO
The computers are allowing you to select it in the 2012 models (my fleet guy built one for me and saved it). However its not an official order bank so it could change depending on what the supply is like when 2012 order banks officially open up. I'm sure they will be available again, just a matter of when. There are rumors swirling too that they will be changing it to match the 150s, but nothings certain.
Whats the difference between the nav systems on a 150 and super duty? As long as it is what I had in my 2010 SD I'd be more than happy.
I am really stewing over this one. I don't know if I should just go for a 2012? We'll see... Long time with out a SD, its been 3 months already and I'm tired of it.

Have heard those rumors. If true it would make sense that they are trying to manage the inventory of those units at the end of the model year.
