wow..great truck

Got my 6.7 Friday trading in my 6.4. Had them side by side today and the 6.4 was so much nicer looking....Solid black and big tires....But the 6.7 is awsome. The power is so much better. Wish I could have my 2008 with the 6.7 motor and dash.....just love solid black... my new truck has a black leather interior with the ____ish interior...sorry but it sucks....it has a marble like gary inserts and some are off color. Costing me $1000 to get new covers....towing next Tuesday to Darlington for the Nascar Race....got 6.7 mpg towing it with my 6.4...hope to get better..will post

I'm surprised to hear that you think the 6.4 is better looking. I have yet to find anything better looking on the older model. As far as the seats go, it sounds like you have the limited edition leather seats that some of the guys here would kill for since they are no longer made.

Dont like them!

They are black leather but look like real dark Gary with a lite Gary marble inserts. No one but my salesman likes them. Monday I am getting BLACK solid leather put on. I don't like the smaller tires or the rear fenders. But like I said it drives so good. My 6.4 broke down so many times. Junk

What color is Gary? I think you mean gray but I'm not sure.

Also, I agree - the 2008-10's look better. I prefer that body style, especially the fenders. The DRW's on the '11 are just plain ugly. I can live with the styling, thats the least of my worries on the new ones. The improvements over the 08-10 models more than makes up for it.

After the hell you went through with your 6.4L truck nobody can blame you for that opinion!

So far the 6.7L seems to be a much more solid engine. We haven't seen anywhere near the number of high-dollar repairs with this engine as are common on the 6.4L trucks. I think you're going to love it!

My better half likes the 08-10 body style better as well. I was in for a free oil change and saw them and said it looks all plastic.

With time it will grow on everyone.

Glad this one is working out better.

wow, I really disagree. I loved the '07 look but I thought the 08-10 was a big step in the wrong direction. I do dig the '11 though. The fenders are all the same as the '10 on a SRW (except for the badging). It's the front end that got the much-needed facelift IMO.

I'm probably also one of the few that actually like the DRW fenders on the 2011. I don't think they're necessarily *better* than the previous DRW ones, but I do like the way they look. Kinda retro IMO... but then, I don't drive a DRW every day so take that for what it's worth.

I like the '11 front but prefer the fenders of the '08-'10 DRW.
But...you can't have everything.
They're all nice trucks. I have a friend with a '10 F-450 and that's a nice looking truck.

I'm getting mine delivered in a couple days and I INSISTED to my dealer that i DO NOT WANT the "special edition" seats. Now that you have them I"m really worried as to what mine will look like.....

If you have the heated/cooled leather seats and you change the leather, you may smother the elements unless your new leather has the same holes in them. in case you didn't think of that.

Better get some miles on your truck before you toe anything of size. I still have to get another 400 miles on mine.I want 1000 miles before I tow 13.000+ lbs down the road. I will also change the oil at about 2000, want to drain any new motor shavings....

Off topic but the shavings and broken down oil actually are supposed to help seat rings faster. Or so I've been told by someone much more knowledgeable and wise than myself.

I am in the catagory of liking the body style of the 08-10 front fenders and hood. But, I also like the front grill on the 11. Alas, It's all about the performance anyway...Right?

BTW, HDfunone, if you have the limited edition seats, job 1 build, tuxedo black, black leather interior with grey stitching? Then you have a gem! You should try trading with someone if you really dont want them....

I pull a 14000 lb 5th wheel with a 08 6.4 with only one problem, p-poor MPG. Great truck otherwise. But because of the MPG I have the 6.7 on order.

yeah, swapping the whole seat will guarantee no issues. That's what I'd be doing and then someone else gets the LE seats.
