i just bought a 2008 f350 king ranch it has the backup sensors in the bumper and a camera in the tailgate. the truck came with a cd changer no nav. the rear view mirror does not have a display. but there is a wire tucked up in the headliner.does that mean it should have the auto dimming mirror with the display?

 

It sure sounds like it, unless the camera was an add-on. Is the camera mounted in the tailgate handle assembly?

 

yeah the camrea is in the tailgate handle and plugged into the wire harness. does anyone know if a rear view mirror from a 08 f150 would plug in?

 

Can't help you there. You'd have to look at the plugs.

I wonder why there would be a different mirror... strange.
