I attended the "Rally For America" this morn here in Cleveland and was one of 10,000 holding our flag high in support of our troops. i was there in a sea of red, white and blue where we sang, prayed and gave thanks for our freedom and those who have and continue to serve our country.
i was going to go to this rally anyway but friday night i found out that my best friend, Captian Mike Gedion USAF a C-130 Herc. pilot, was leaving sunday(today) for the gulf. i only got to speak to him for a few min. friday night because he was spending it with his family and new fiance. he doesnt know how long he'll be gone.
ya know, it doesnt matter what your stance is on this war OR this Administration, we should all get behind our troops. they are fellow Americans, fathers, brothers, sons, friends, mothers, sisters, daughters and friends. they are doing their job and following orders. they are doing a job the rest of us cant or wont. their is NOTHING more American than to question your government, there is nothin more UN-American than to hate someone for doing their job and maybe losing thier life to give you the right to question your goverment.
GO GET 'EM MIKE!
BTW, IF YOU WANNA SEE PICS FROM THE RALLY GO TO www.glennbeck.com and click on the cleveland link!

me and a buddy were sitting around having some beers friday night, when on the news they showed the anti-war protesters.
dont these people have lives, or jobs? where do they find the time to make these big signs, and rally in the streets at 1030 AM on a thursday morning?
do they not realize that they are only making it harder for the soldiers who are protecting their rights to protest and free speech?
it makes me want to paint a big sign that says "get real" and just drive right throught the middle of their protest with it...
ok, here comes the whole FTE mob about free speech and how im a big hypocrite and BLAH BLAH BLAH . well i dont feel they should have the freedom to INSULT our soldiers who have their lives on the line. do they not realize how many TAX DOLLARS they are burning up by having all those police officers there to keep order in the streets??
call me a hypocrite all you want. i realize people died so that i can post my one-sided opinions on FTE but lets face it....
yeah, its funny how huch coverage the anti-war rallies get and when 40,000+ in different cities all across the country rally to Support our troops it gets no coverage what so ever.
Tens of millions of people around the world have protested in the steets against the war option in dealing with Saddam, USA is not, of course, the only place on earth where people can express themselves. Personally I think that war is unneccessary to depose Saddam, and will negatively impact American security for decades. I have been at both anti-war rallys and one, so far, support the troops rally. At the peacenic rallies, it is not difficult to engage in intelligent conversation, most people, young and old, have very well reasoned stances against this war, At the 'pro troops' rally, well the main 'vibe' is really revenge and blood lust, no matter the cost, or who bears the cost. Lots of 'they' attacked 'us' so lets level the middle east sort of mentality, kill them all and let God sort them out. And lots of real animosity against their fellow Americans, if they are not in lock step behind Bush and company. I do hope that war is averted by an internally orchastrated regime change in Iraq. It wouldn't suprise me if it was CIA backed, that is primarilly why we are in this mess, IMO, is the dirty secret political sculdugery by our shadow government around the world. Ossama and Saddam and Noriaga were all traind and equiped by the CIA. It would be nice if CIA actually did some good for American interest, but a prolonged war and occupation in the middle east is far more profitable. With the USA supplying, at huge private profit and huge public cost, around 75% of the worlds armaments, one way or another, to anyone who wants them, war is 'good for the economy'. This has happened durring all recent administrations, weather that of the great satan Clinton, or almost walking on water Bush. Pretty much the same talking heads in different suits, kinda like pro wrestling with its good guys and bad guys, all getting a paycheck from the same source when the show is over. Getting Americans to actually express some interest in their government may be the silver lining to this conflict, and personally I had a lot of fun after Nixon was ousted, so hopefully we will have an even better time when the pendulum swings back in response to Bush. After all, though some here say that 'Hippies suck', so what, can't inhale otherwise, and the hippies are so much more fun to be around.
