I think that Motor Trend's "tests" are tied in with certain "marketing arrangements"

I don't really see where they got it wrong but if it makes everyone feel better...check out this picture of a Navigator and a Tahoe to see how things really are.

Wrong? No, they have it correct, the Expedition is more "truck like". That is why I bought a truck. The power defecit was cured in 99 with the PI heads. I also think the Expy lasts longer overall. I looked at a lot of Suburbans and Expys before buying, the drivetrains of the Fords seem to last longer, the Chevy's are cheaper to replace.
