I have a 92 Ranger 4x4 that I'm planning on handing down to my son. We have been out driving lately and now the brake pedal goes to the floor sometimes. When we first start out they slow us down but gradually it gets worse. I checked the fluid and the pads are new. What could I be dealing with.
Sounds like you have
A. air in the lines - bleed the brakes;
B. a master cylinder that has gone bad - replace it;
C. a leaking hose - check to see if one shows signs of leaking, replace, bleed
D. a bad vacuum booster - trouble shoot - replace?
