Anyone have modded 2v/4v powerband graphs?
Looking for graphs, or at least sets of figures, for the hp and tq of "TMeyer style" (flat tops, CR of near 10, lifted cam, straight up timing, headers, 4 bbl, all the standard stuff) built 2v and 4v engines.
I am looking into buying a 4v Cleveland closed chamber headed 400, as opposed to continuing to build my 2v open chamber stock head 400.
The engine is going in my 79 150 4X4 with a 9" rear and D44 front, with 3.50 gears and a C6. It's on 31's now and will never see any more than 35's, likely 33's. The truck is a daily driver, and I want it to be capable for long highway trips, as well as spinning tires and hot ******* around. I also plan to use the truck as a truck every once in a while though, no trail riding, but I want it to be capable with a car and trailer in tow, or with a full load in the bed.
If you have any hp or tq numbers at given rpm's that you're fairly sure of, let me know. I'm leaning towards the 4v engine right now, but want to see some figures on both setups to make sure that it will be capable also at the lower rpm's.
Also, feel free to voice your opinions on which engine you think would suit my needs better.
Thanks, AleX

2v heads easier!!
2v head easier! 4v head are a pain if you don't have parts available. the exhaust/header will need to be built or modified header flange. on the intake your gonna need a intake spacer plate and cover around 300.00 bucks. then buy a 351 cleveland intake but a windsor can be done also but machine work required also, extra money. then once you have all these parts your gonna need to fit everything together more time. not a big deal if you have parts but bang for the buck 2v is the way to go. also a comp cam around 268 high energy is a good cam for 4wd at about 9 to 1 comp. weiand intake dual plane works well. positive stop rocker arms limit you to around a .500 lift give or take??? depends on the motor. Can get into coil bind if using factory springs. comp springs no problems ran thsi application yrs ago. if wanting more buy new heads with adjustable valvetrain and then things get interesting. Call tim meyer or mpg heads and you will do well. Both guys now thier stuff!!
