Within the last 5,000 miles I put brakes and rotors on all 4 corners of my 2006 F-250 Crew Cab diesel, I cleaned and greased all of the places things move. Problem is the back rotors are warped already, and the drivers side back is hangin up BAD! How can I resolve this issue as $160 every 5-10thousand miles (per rotor) will be expensive?
I have had the L R tire off 3 times and checked the caliper, the pins, and cleaned the cage (where the shoes slide) and tried Anti seize and two different kinds of high heat wheel bearing grease.
Did you torque your wheel lugs down? If not that could easily account for the warped rotor. The hanging break may need to have the caliper rebuilt....you might have something going on with your piston.
Yes toqued to 120ft lbs. The caliper crushes easy enough, but I suppose it could be binding when all together. Thanks I will work on it 2mro again and see what I find.
for what its worth....replaced stock rotors on my 250cc 2 wheel drive long bed 6.0 with Napa rotors and pads. Mid quality i think. no issues for 20k. there is still a slight shimmy at about 45-50 mph.....that issue has been with the truck since i have owned it. if i remember correctly that is a known issue with the driveline, carrier bearings or u-joints. i have checked them all and cant find the culprit....i like everything else about the truck so much, i have just learned to live with it. good luck.

All I did when I bought my rotors and Pads was tell them as long as it doesnt say made in China! For the price though I was hoping they would hold up well. My truck has had a slight shimmy to it too for the last yr I have owned it. My brakes sometimes feel as though they just dont want to work, (down long hills or emergency stops) and that can be scary!
