shift kit for e40d?

I was wondering if a shift kit would be a good investment for my 92 f150 351 e40d, with 72,000. Im not really thrilled with the way this truck shifts, just my personal preference, but i was wanting to know should i go with a mechanical shift kit or electric, and are these hard to install and how much $ they would be so i could get a comparison on the 2. any help would be appreciated.

JC Whitney has the electric for $40.00 for the E4OD. Never tried it though, would love to hear from someone who has.

shift kit for e40d?

I have both on my Bronco. Stay away from the electronic type. My trans runs 20 degrees cooler after I installed the shift kit (Mechanical) I got mine from Level 10

Mechanical is probably the way to go. There are horror stories on this site of B&M electronic kits going bad and even frying a PCM.
