If I roll on it hard(WOT)from a stand still it shifts OK but not really that solid,if I let it roll enough to go into second gear and then kick on it so it downshifts back to first it shifts perfect, very solid, and will scratch(bark) second gear and hit third very solid as well.I'm wondering if this is a tuning issue(Im not having tuner issues but Im wondering if the tuning goes that deep,as far as whether you do a rolling kick or starting from a dead stop if the shifting strategy is different.Any thoughts would be appreciated....Thanks....Phil
My truck shift less aggressively with lighter throttle. When I lay into it, it will shift harder. It also varies somewhat with my tunes. The higher tunes seem to bump up the line pressure. I like the fact that it "backs down" when taking her easy. Jody backed off some on my pressures in my tunes and let my vb do its thing. I had too harsh of a downshift into 3rd before.
Right, mine shifts less aggresive with lighter throttle pressure, but I'm talking WOT from a dead stop,as to WOT from a rolling kick when it goes back into first gear from second, because when I do a rolling kick it shifts much more solid, like I said,it will bark second very well if Im rolling a little then kick it,but most of the time if I kick it from a dead stop it won't bark the tires.LOL I don't drive her like this all the time, but I was messing with my buddy with a Chebby and noticed it.
Could have something to do with the added load of second gear and building more boost. Mine will shift harder when I make a turn if I punch it after it shifts to second.

Maybe it's normal Roland,I just noticed it doing it last weekend, but I very seldom run it real hard,it shifts solid either way, just seemingly more solid if I'm already rolling...I just wanted to ask just in case,I didn't know if it might've been a tuning issue,or maybe a valvebody issue, with 205,ish on a mostly stock tranny I get nervous if I feel a weird shift...
