Yesterday I was driving out of a creek bottom at my deer lease and hit my 7-way on a rock. The wires going to it look okay some looked alittle smashed but not cut. I now don't have any power back there (no 12v). My hazards don't work, no brake lights, no park lights, no reverse lights and my license plate lights are also out.
I've got a 7-way test plug with lights on it but none light up when I plug it in. I've checked all the fuses in the cab fuse box and the fuse box under the hood. Any ideas what might be the problem. I'm a little worried here. Thanks for any suggestions.
It sounds to me like you have done something to the harness under the truck.
Maybe along the frame, near the back.
I know Ford puts connection just below the left tailight up under the bumper.
Also, I changed the spelling of a couple of important words.
The search feature is quite spelling selective and to possibly aid others in the future,It had to be changed.
mil1ion - you were exactly right. I started tracing the wiring harness toward the front of the truck. About half way to the cab of the truck the harness was disconnected. Simply reconnected and everything is now working okay. I really hit hard on that rock, my back tires cleared it and the rear of my truck hit hard. Must have pulled the harness at the 7-way hard enough to pull that connector loose. Thanks for you help.
