Upper A arms

Upper A arms
So I need to change my upper A arm bushings, only I am not to sure how to do this, do I do this with the front end lifted or with load on the wheels? Do I need to worry about the front springs at all?
Oh and I am just changing the upper A arm bushing and nothing else, thanks.

It is on a mustang II front end, I accually did one side so far this weekend and it went ok, alot of work for a couple little bushings but it needed to be done, I hope to tackle the other side soon.
