Plug in grille, right side...

On my '01 7.3, I have a plug of some sort, was hoping it was the block heater but I guess not, it snaps onto the black plastic to the right of the radiator behind the grille, points straight up and is threaded black plastic with a nipple on it like it would be some sort of drain, but looks like an electrical corrugated type wrap going to it. What is this?

Your block heater is located on the driver's side near the tow hook. Here's some pictures of where to look for it.

Pay attention to pictures 4 and 5.

Assuming when you say right side you mean driver's side (which is the left side in auto speak) then it sounds like you are describing the air temp sensor for the lieometer.

Correct, its the air temp sensor. "Lieometer"... I like that. lol

I did find my block heater plug sitting in/on the inside of the bumper in the drivers wheel well. Its somewhere in the towhook vicinity tho.
