1984 F150 4x4 351W, the pipe finally fully broke right before the muffler, so now its obnoxiously loud and I made an appt. to get it replaced next Tuesday. I'm probably going to have them start by removing the cat and doing true duals from the manifolds all the way back with 2 Magna Flows.
I'm still running the Feedback carb setup and it is actually working fine. I do plan on replacing it eventually with a standard 4bbl manifold, carb, ignition system etc someday.
Anyone else running no cat(s) on a feedback setup? I'm not too concerned about it but, thought i'd check in to see if anyone else has done it. My other options are just replacing everything behind the cat with a single muffler, single pipe OR drinking a can of Coca Cola, and patching it up with 2 hose clamps.
I agree
in most states it is against the law for muffler to cut off the cats but some places will flat out tell you they can not cut them off but if they fall off somehow its not there problem i have had a few "fall off" and shops will just put straight pipe in place
good luck ether way
Thanks to the commie *******s at the EPA you'll have to do the exhaust yourself if you want to get rid of cats. It's not hard to do though. Biggest thing is a bender, but you can buy prebent sections from Summit that re mandrel bent, which I have yet to find a local shop here that will mandrel bend.
