Rebuild questions????
The day after Thanksgiving I was pulling my trailer loaded with a Deere 310 Backhoe and a small 463 Bobcat. I put a hole in one of the pistons the diameter of a Bic pen, on the passengers side. I know my HPOP (15*) was weak and I think in contributed to the failure due to the check engine light being on and the EGT's not exceeding 1300* pre-turbo.
I have recently torn down the motor and I will take it to have it machined next week. I want to keep it fairly simple as far as the rebuild I will use quality parts and the truck will be inter-cooled and have water-meth injection durring this process.
My main questions are:
1: I would like to have my injectors flow tested and checked to see if they are working properly any recommendations where to send them?
2: As far as machining is there anything special that I should do?
3: Would it beneficial to have a new set of tunes burned? Again any recommendations or will the ones when it was tuned on the dyno be good?
4: Which AFFORDABLE HPOP?
5 : Rebuild kits?
6: Any head work need to be done?
7: Valve spring, any good aftermarket recommendations?
8: Push rods and lifters, the tray that I put the push rods in got knocked over and now I don't know where they go, what should I do?
9: Any other tips or tricks that I should be aware of? Special tools? a good manual for torque specs?
Thank you in advance for your help.

but Beans sell Casserly injectors. So he's got good sticks.
What happens with the torch cutting is that if there isn't enough flow on the injectors, it streams out instead of sprays.
The tips could be dirty now, and casserly or jim will both take care of them for him.
They might be warrantied though. Just a thought.
I can agree with the lack of Oil. Pulling hard and high DC's on the hpop, you probably ran outa oil cause you said you got a CEL.
Throws it into limp mode then.
If you go with joey. I might consider buying your 15 off you if the price is right.
