I'm installing a new stall converter on my C-6.(it's behind a 429) Anyway, the question is; do I have to fill the converter with fluid first(my best guess) and how much does it take? I also just threw a shift kit in it and a new filter, do you guys know about how much fluid I will need to fill this bad boy up? Thanx!
I've always been told to put at least a quart in the converter. Some people say this isn't necessary, but it can't hurt anything. My manual lists 11.7-13.5 quarts for the C6. Just remember to count the fluid in the converter in this total. I hope this helps.
