I was scrolling through the oh so accurate LMC parts catalog and as I was looking at the steering wheels I found the rubber insert that covers the horn button on a 73-77 steering wheel. Then I looked below that and they had another insert that was supposed to be for a 75-77 that was woodgrain and I have never seen one for 73-77 wheels that was woodgrain for the insert. Does someone have a picture of these or was the person at LMC typing the catalog drunk? LMC Truck Parts - Page 101 (#4 in the top steering column diagram.) Thanks for the info.
I don't know about 73 to 77 , but my 79 bronco with cruse control had the wood grain look to it.my 79 S.C. did too and they both were trying to peel back from the cover.
Not exclusively no. All Ranger XLTs, including the Ranger XLT Luxury group hd woodgrain horn pads. 1975 was the first year of cruise if I remember rightly.
The Ranger XLT Luxury group the steering wheels, the steering column and everything that was black on the other trucks, including the rubber around the doors seals was Tan brown.
The Rangers had black instrument cluster bezels, and horn pads, just like the customs. The Rangers had an additional black trim ring around the glove box area.
My truck has the Ranger-XLT Trim Package, and it doesn't have all that fancy woodgrain...
Although, Even though my truck is a Super Camper Special, it's a strip down, work truck, was ordered as so.
The Ranger-XLT was the top of the line trim package offered on Ford Truck's from 1970-1977. Then the Ranger Lariat came out in '78.
