junk yard requests
Hey guy/gals i'm probably heading up to the junk yard this sunday it's a pretty cheap pullapart. And was wanting to let everyone know just in case anyone needs anything. they have a website with all the prices with and without warranty and if it's supposed to have a core add that in...if there's something you want and can pay for plus shipping from 37748. i'll get it for ya...i'd like to get lots of stuff but i'm broke just going to browse and maybe pick up some little cheap stuff.. the website is pullapart.com when you check on pricing put in the location as knoxville...and if you need anything else for another ride if they got the car i'll look for the parts..it doesn't have to be for a dent...just let me know what you guys really need and can afford and i'll get you hooked up..and if it's something out of the ordinary a pic wouldn't hurt if you can find one.

it's about an hour drive for me...actually 52 minutes but it's worth the trip for the prices....my local junkyard want somewhere around $500 for an engine and $350 for a trans with nothing more than a 30 day warranty. so when i want some good stuff that's where i go.

okay 78 longbed i'll take that down and see what i can find..do thos just bolt to the push bar or what? i know on my push bar it has a couple holes in it and didn't know how they mounted lights.

Yes Flat_Ford, they bolt to the holes that are pre-drilled on the back of the bar, I hear they are pretty hard to fine. Thanks again.

we've got a pretty cheap u-pull-it in pcola too. $300 motors if u pull, 90 day warranty, and if i remember right transmissions are $200. Theve got a few dents in there, but odd not of them have absolutely no interiors. They have mostly everything else, but nothing interior.

Cool. I haven't been here long - just bought my truck a little over a month ago, and still working on getting it back on the road ... hopefully in the next week or so. (It had been sitting in a farmer's shed for a few years and needed a transmission rebuild, etc.)

honestly if you got a weekend and wanted to work on it you could pull yours out a little at a time during the week or something then on saturday go pull one....put it in sunday and see how it does...for the price you can't beat it...73 bucks and some time...plus everything is already jacked up....just drop the bolts that hold it in pull it out and to the end of the isle and they'll have one of their mexicans bring the fork lift to put it in your truck so it think it worth the trip when i need something. at their mobile alabama location it's only 88 bucks for a complete V8 engine...these places are awesome.

looking for one myself dom and i don't know if you'd want to pay shipping on that. but last time i was up there the gates where trashed or gone...but i'll keep my eye out...it'll probably cost 40 bucks plus shipping..if you're game and i find a real nice one i'll get it.
