5.8L Upgrade
Hello everyone. I'm new to this site. I have a few questions. A relative of mine has the 93 Econoline Van with a 5.8L in it. Him and I are going to rebuild this engine because it is having some problems. It has to much crankcase pressure as it is shooting oil out of the dipstick tube and the valve cover breather tube. The air cleaner is soaked with oil. I would like to know the compression ratio and cam specs for this engine. He has a large camper that he tows with this van and while we rebuild it maybe we can bump up the horsepower and torque a few notches. I have the Desktop Dyno program and would like to pick an upgraded cam but I don't know what the original specs are. Any in formation would be greatly appreciated.
