Anyone Know What This Is?

I found this tag in the bottom of the glove compartment of my 66. It used to be attached to something, presumably on my truck, but I have no idea what.

I found those tag's in several location on different trucks.
Behind taillights;screwed to the body; as well as on fire wall area.
Don't know the proper name; but a assembly line prep tag like item.
hope this clearifies alittle for ya.

I have a tag similar to that one screwed to the firewall on the passenger side. If I recall correctly, the last 4 digits on the tag matched the last 4 digits of my VIN. As already mentioned, it's probably some kind of prep tag maybe it describes how the vehicle is to be optioned as it rolls down the line but I don't know for sure.

I believe that is a "Buck Tag"
It's usually found on the firewall in the engine compartment, some of the information on it is obvious, but I don't know any way's of decoding it.

These tags were attached usually on the right hand cowl and the style-side front panel. These metal tags were for the body department and the paint department build codes such as what color paint for the paint dept. and what kind of body options and drilling holes for the body dept. The reason they were metal was so they wouldn't catch on fire during the welding process. When the build left the paint dept. it was converted to paper tags. The metal tags just stayed in place.
