If I remember right LCF stands for Low Cab Forward; it's a COE design much like an Isuzu NPR powered by a 4.5L Powerstroke V6 derived from the infamous 6.0L engine.
I don't think they ever sold many of them, and looking on the Ford Fleet website they aren't listed anymore so I think they stopped making them.
im a plumber so the one im buying has a utility body on it. it has 10000 miles on it. a few people talk good about them then some hate them. I know they stopped making them but im just wondering if they are good or are they full of problems?
The interior is decent in the LCF. Much like a car. Along with the flat nose, you will have a tighter turning radius and be able to get in tighter places. Not to mention you will have a vehicle that will stand out from the rest. With only 10K on it, I would say go for it after you have it checked out by a diesel tech.
Before you buy it you better sit in it and figure out where your feet will be. They made the interior of the cabs very small in the foot well area. I is almost dangerous to move your foot from the throttle pedal to the brake pedal they cramed the steering coulum in between them. The truck is a Japenese design built by Nissan under the UD brand and is also marketed and built by international ( also owned by nissan ) and Ford in one of thier joint vencher plants. We have had a lot of electrical problems with the ones that we have. All of the fuses and engine computor is mounted behind the passanger side front tire. If you must have a truck of this type you would probably be a lot happier with the Issuzu, Chevy, GMC clones or the mitsubishi fuso or the Toyota owned Hino brand.

Nissan makes a better product than Isuzu, Mitsubishi, and Toyota. I think you will be happy with the Ford/UD. The interior is small, but it is better than the others listed.
