Redundant.....I know
2003 F-250 four door 4x4. 5.4 auto with maunaul hubs. 2009 rebuilt entire front end including: upper and lower ball joints, inner and outter axel seals, life time Waganer brake pads, Gabriel life time shocks, drag link, outter tie rod ends, needle bearings, u-joints and neoprene sway bar bushings.
My problem is two fold: The new bushings are shot, and there is an ungodly squeal coming from the left front.
Bushings are easy to replace, but I don't know what would cause them to fail so soon.
Front end squeals when stopping or reversing. I did not RTV the pads to the pistons (which explains the occassional squeal at stopping) but when I reverse the front end sounds like some one is killing a cat with a wiffle bat. The only thing that makes it quiet is by lighty touching the brake peadle. Then, today, I noticed the noise while turning a corner.
I can't think of what else to do to solve my issue. I even broke the brakes down (no uneven wear) and cleaned/lubed the slides. Noise is still there.
HELP!! I can't afford a major expensive breakdown. Anyone have any ideas?
If I had to guess I think it might be a sticking caliper of some sort. I don't care enough to replace them on my Contour, as the pads look just fine.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I will chime in with the solution.
