Do you mean to the injectors ? They all look good....as does the UVCH..it was snug.
And the big one outside the VC looks good ...havent tried to unplug it yet.
I'm still working on drivers side VC removal...I feel like a contortionist....I'm having trouble with the one in back that you cant see.

You see, everyone says I'm crazy, but I think the driver side valve cover is the hardest one to remove because of that stupid bolt you're talking about. My Crew cab, long bed truck is already the longest thing on the road, would it really kill them to extend it a couple of more inches and slide the motor forward a bit?

You just need to use a short extension and get the socket on by feel and break it loose.

Another question.....should I disconnect the batteries ?

Everyone says it, so it must be true.

Just kidding, Chris. For me the driver's side is more difficult because of the time needed to remove it because of the 42 pin connector, my CAI, and CCV plumbing,. The bolts, themselves, don't seem to be the problem. My stepkids say that I have more tools than the law should allow.

I'm with you on removing stuff Roland, but you've got to admit, that bolt has to be the hardest to get started putting things back together.

Besides, when it was time to swap Ricks injectors, you noticed what side of the truck I lined up on

By the way should I disconnect the batteries....before I start unplugging elec. stuff and the injectors themselves? Common sense leans me towards disconnecting...but if I don't have to....

It is always recommended, but not mandatory. Since these are 'switched' circuits, and not 'live', it is not something I normally do. Your call.

Well I finally got the drivers side VC off...see here..... diesel engine
The LL injector was the one that gave the low buzz on the buzz test along with the number 3 injector. Where are the glow plugs ? If I just replace the #8 and the #3.....it should fix the no cold start problem....Oh, and replace the glow plugs while I'm in there. Or should I just get all the injectors shipped to Rosewood and let him overhaul them all as well as replace the glow plugs. Incisions, decisions......any thoughts or advice is welcome ?

The LL injector on #8 is a factory installed item. For the glow plugs, follow the white wires. Pull the connector off the tip and the glow plug is underneath. (kind of like a spark plug wire)
