IAC the cause?

I'm starting to get a surging idle sometimes when sitting in park or even while in gear....Does this sound like an IAC problem? It is on the truck in my signature with 110k on it....Better off to replace it or try cleaning it first?
Thanks
Rich

Just replace it and see if that fixed it. Probably easier to remove the throttle body to do this. I did not remove the throttle body and it was a pain. Cleaning probably won't fix it.

Surging at idle on a Ford truck? I'd check for a vacuum leak(hole in rubber hose or collapsed hose at a 90 degree bend before I spent the money on an IAC motor especially if you have P0171 or 174 DTC. 1' of vacuum hose is a lot cheaper than an IAC and these Fords are notorious for this problem.
