bogging and hard start
i have an 86 300 I6 all stock...rebuilt the carb, replace coil, distributor cap and rotor, new plugs and wires...started right up...took it down the road and it bogged down and died...let it sit for about ten minutes started up and ran fine but started hard and drove it home and it did the same bogging pulling back into the driveway...got it started and could rev it all the way up to 6k and a couple minutes later it would bogg again...and it still starts real hard...any one have any clue as to whats going on? not a ford guy...got the truck for free

6k on a 300?? are ya nuts! these engines are tough as nails but if over reved wont be tough for long. your lucky that rod didnt come shootin out the side. Check your fuel filter as stated, and check for a vac leak around the intake gasket.
