Timing question

To gain the benefits of higher octane fuel, Does one advance or retard the timing?

Timing question

With higher octane fuel, you can advance the timing...or set the
timing further BTDC (Before Top Dead Center)

Timing question

Thanks Mr. Ayers,
There is a Sunoco station near here that has 94 octane fuel. I was gonna change the timing and run a few tanks of fuel through it to see if its worth the extra cost...They also have 85 octane that is MUCH, MUCH cheaper, (85 octane is $1.45 and 87 octane is$1.62) I thought about setting it closer to TDC and see how it does on this fuel also...
