Home resale values are really go in up ! As I approached Retirement, around 12 years away I found a lake home for $68,000 in the mid 90's. With the home values where they are now That investment has tripled in value. I built the Man garage on an adjoining lot in 2019. $40,000 rang true ! This year it would cost $60,000 ! Cement alone is over $160 Yard. I can recal $9 a yard delivered 40 years ago. Its easy to progressively see these big Cement trucks billing near $1000 for a full load. Might as well slip form cement houses.

My neighbor recently bought a closed up Department store for $7 million. Says it would cost him double that to do the parking lot so his business is profiting ! The big building is just a bonus he plans to split up and rent sections of to none competing businesses.
