quick transmission question
i drained my 2003 f250 7.3l auto transmission pan and got some were close to 7 quarts out of it and i put 6 quarts in it and when i check it the dipstick is all red and says its full i dont understand cus before i drained the pan the fluid was full not over mark. can some on help me i only did partial change cus of money tight planning on doing another partial change in about 7000 miles. also driven about 500 miles and transmision acting fine. and trannsmission heat is right where always was?

I believe your just throwing $$ away with your part fluid change. I'd just wait until I could do the full flush. As for the level your reading I have no answer to that, I have a heluva time reading level on the POS dip stick.
