InLine fuel pump question

Hi Guys i need some clarification on the inline fuel pump psi`s. I have a 1988 f350 460 G code "EFI motor". The bosch and airtex e2000 pumps put out over 45 psi. The carter p74028 puts put 4-6 psi. All these pumps are recommended for my motor. Will the pump psi make a difference because all these pumps pump at least 40 GPH. i want to go with the carter because ive had bad luck with the airtex and bosch brands. Need some help on this one guys. before you say the carter is for carbed motors the carter 74028 is also recommended for the 1989 460 efi moter which was all efi that year if im not mistaken

The frame pump should putout 95-120 PSI into a blocked head.
The regulator will reduce it down to 45 PSI no vacuum engine not running.
With the engine running the regulator with vacuum line connected about 32-34 PSI at idle (high vacuum) and 40-42 PSI WOT (low vacuum).

Carter high-pressure fuel pump #P74028, rated at 50 GPH (190 LPH) @ 90-100 PSI, sells for about $105 at Summit.
I do not know where you got the 4-6 psi for it from.

Bill i got that figure from the Napa website for their fuel pump# NFP p74028 which is made by Carter and has the same # as a Carter P 74028 fuel pump. Perhaps its a typo on napas part. Napa says its the OEM replacement for the 1988 and 1989 7.5 liter (G) code motor. What do you think bill?

Everything I see says it is the same as the airtex e2000 so it should work.

Thats what i think too Bill. Of course its going to rain for the next 3 days but ill let you know how it turns out. Bill i took off my Bed of the truck yesterday and found out that both of the intank pumps werent working,"remember they were new with only 200 miles on them" and i replaced the intank pumps with the carter # 74067. Both of the pumps now work and the high pressure pump turns on but i still have NO FUEL PRESSURE. This is why im replacing the Airtex E2000 inline hi pressure pump"new with only 200 miles on it" with the Carter # 74028 pump. Arrrugh!! This has been absoulutly frustrating. the relays are clicking and the fuel pumps are getting only 11.9-12v so i know im not overpowering them and the Noid light flashes when i turn the motor over. Can you think of anything im missing before i change this Hi pressure inline pump? the only thing i can think of at this point is the Airtex e2000 pump has just lost its ummph to pump fuel even though it runs for the 1 sec when i turn the key to the on position. bill ive replaced the relays and sockets-ECM-tank selector switch- DFR- cleaned the firewall wire connector and replaced the intank pumps . Any other suggestions??? or am i on the right track. im just baffled as to why i still dont have any fuel pressure!!
Thanks buddy

You did not say anything about the fuel filter. Did you replace it too?
How about the selector valve on the frame? Remove the fuel line leaving the selector valve going to the engine (hi pressure pump) and turn on the key, fuel should come out of the selector valve for one second.
