I think you would need to find the right collector, it looks like it is a heavier duty truck so generally they aren't as desirable.

looks like some salvageable parts on there if you were wanting to part it out. the grill and hood look to be in good condition.

If not, then you have a helluva planter for an herb garden.......The bed probably has holes in it for drainage already......

Hard to say what it's worth Tim but it is a cool truck. I'd pull it out of the weeds and get a good look at the frame and under body if I was thinking about restoring it, they can get expensive if they need to much work. On the other hand if you wanted to turn it into a monster mudder, I think it would be a very cool truck to do.

That looks like a 1956 Transtar.

Studebaker Truck Model Overview

Scroll down about 1/2 to 2/3 of the page.

I don't think that's got a V6 in it, either. It's most likely a small V8.

Might be fun to get on the road, but of course, you'll have to put an FE in it!

I'm going to assume that Studebaker built their own engines and running gear. But, does or did the big three produce any parts for these trucks? Will anything else bolt up such as axles, transmissions, bell housing, etc?
