Starting problems

The last couple of mornings I have tried to start my truck but it just doesn't start. It acts like it isn't getting fuel. I crank it for a min then turn the key off and try it again and after a couple of tries it finally starts. The first time I opened up the fuel filter to see if there was any fuel in it due to the angle I was parked, so I opened it up and looked at it and it was full of fuel. So I thought maybe the filter was clogged, so I changed it and it still happens. Does anyone have any advice on where to check next?

With the cooler weather, check your GPR and your batt voltage.

Having the same problem myself but was also wondering if it is normal for a truck to start a lot easier with a chip on it. just got rid of mine and it just doesnt start as easy as befor.

I had the same problem and 5 out of my 8 glow plugs were shot and my batterys were almost shot due to all the cranking I had to do to get it started and side note don't do a lot of cranking on it cause diesel starters are pricey
